hey ya'll....hi! umm..yeah so much for those pics of jamaica. our computer is....?????!!!!! i dunno, its pry more me than the computer. im not very good with them! jamaica was wonderful! i got to see so many friends and the sweet kids! part of my heart will always be there!

as for what i've been up to.... well, im not sure. it always feels so busy but yet as i look back its like what did i do? we had a really good christmas...all mom's sisters came home for a whole week. some of their kids stayed here but the rest stayed at gramma's. we had good times playing games and talking and eating of course!

new years eve the youth had a party...we were at the church cabin playing games an relays. we also divided up in groups to make pizzas. every group gathered around a table with all their hands tied together. it wasnt too hard becuz most everything was aleady chopped. the pizzas were really good too!!!  our evening lasted only til just after midnight...we were having a bad snow storm. as much as we love the snow, we would have liked to hang around a lil longer playing games.

something scary that happened to me this past month was i had my first wreck. its quite humbling.  i was coming home from a b-ball game in new paris and since mom and dad had gone out to supper i had taken all four of my siblings along in my lil car. we were driving home and dad called just wondering how the game was an if we were gonna be home soon. oh, and the roads were clear...there was no snow or slush so i was going at least 50mph. suddenly justin an eric said "look out!" we were going thru a low area and here there was water across the road that had turned to ice. since i was still on the phone an we had just come over a hill there was no way i was going to be slowed down. we hit the ice an went swirling around the road. first to one side then the other. there was woods on one said and just a few trees along a fence row on the other side. we slid down in a ditch backward an up the other side. the snow was so deep that it slowed us down and we came to rest only inches from a big tree. i was still on the phone...dad heard everything that was happening.  he said he'd be right over, but it took justin and dad over a half hour to get me out. the only thing that happened to my car was a busted tail light when we hit the fence post. i just praise the lord we were all ok! its a plain miracle...there is no reason that we didnt hit any of the trees we flew by except that someone was watching out for us. thank u god!!

thats whats been going on recently for me.... i hope ya'll have a good rest of the week! i know i will!

hey guys!! just wanted you all to know that im leaving for JAMAICA on saturday!!!!!!! woohoo!!! im so ready to go back to see everyone.....its been a long time! ill be gone for just 10 days. if you think about it, you can pray for safety as i travel and that i would get thru customs ok......also, i have two layovers that are three hours long each. i hope i dont go crazy!! ill tell u all about it when i get home....maybe ill even update while im there.

i am done working at sweet corn charlie's...i was going to work this week yet, but its so slow they are just having self serve.  im still babysitting some of the greatest kids ever...i love em so much! thanks to my friends from church that will take over for me while im gone for the week!

last night the youth gave the program at milford chapel....we were talk about our mission trip to NYC. and of all ppl i had to talk. i think it went ok even though i was really nervous. of course i had to start out with one of my coughing spells..... dont know whats wrong with me. i've had a terrible tickle in my chest that leads to much coughing. anyway, it was a fun eve. we played games afterwards wth their youth group and then we even got snacks!!

wow! so much has happened since last time......NYC was great! we walked all over manhatten handing out tracts, singing in the subway, and even in times square at one in the morning! sorry i dont have pics.......

these last two weeks i was teaching vbs again. i really enjoyed it even with all the loud talkative kids! i only had six kids that were really good, where as jessica an sam had twelve that could really be loud! one day i asked my class what songs they wanted to sing for the program...they are 5 by the way.... one lil girl piped up. "my favorite song is 'Jesus take the wheel' can we sing that?" hmmm....... anyway, i miss them! i even miss playing basketball in the evenings although my toe is still healing.  an i miss singing "God made me thumb body special"!

our youth guys won the championship in the softball league they were in!!!!!!!!congrats guys!! ya'll are good!

this week is the Elkhart County 4H fair! woo hoo!!! sunday eve Mark Schultz was there.....it was so good!! i just love to hear so many ppl praising the Lord! on one of the songs everyone was singing an clapping along and the grandstands started swaying! you could see the whole thing moving! after that ppl tried not to move so much.  tomorrow is the rodeo...im gonna take my lil bro and sistas but first we're gonna see a bear show! then after the rodeo im headed to kokomo for a weekend with my friends who i havent seen in forever!! cant wait to see you guys!!

hmm....i think now im gonna go pop some of that kettle corn that i bought today. hope ya'll have a good weekend!!

"our bible school is over and we are going home....goodbye, goodbye, we'll see you again next year!"

woohoo!!!! its been a great two weeks but im glad im done. i taught ten lil six year olds that loved to talk and were always so excited to do whatever i had for them. tonight is the program so we're gonna see how well they remember the song i taught them! "God made me thumbody special." i wish ya'll could come see em.....they're so cute singing it!

anyway, i have only one week to catch my breath....then the youth is off to NYC. im excited about it, but there's so muchto do yet before i go. we are going to be doing some painting and stuff like that plus we'll be out on the streets handing out tracts and witnessing. please pray for us as we go and are there.......pray that we would have boldness and that our fear of talking to ppl about Jesus would disappear!!

the morning we get back from NYC (monday) i start teaching bible school at toto....its about an hour south from here. that will be for two weeks also. i will be teaching 5 year olds this time.......ive never taught there before but they say its completely different from ours. mostly kids from town that dont know how to sit.....it'll be great!! an i mean it!

so this maybe the last time i post for awhile........hope ya'll are having a great day!!

tata for now..

WAGWON EVERYBODY  today is may 8........exactly one year since i left my jamaica land. i cannot believe it has been a whole year! i am so thankful for the oppertunity i had to be a part of JRM and spend time there. ill never be the same.....especially since part of my heart is still there! i miss my friends there so much...and all the kids especially. im reading a book about a missionary family that moved to liberia and all the challenges they faced....culture, language, traditions....and i just sit there and start thinking an remembering jamaica. needless to say its taking me a long time to finish the book even though its really good! i dont know what God has for me and i want to be open to His leading....but i still pray that maybe someday i can go back to the ppl i love so much!

last night our youth guys a softball game...and they won!!!! seems to me we do much better at this sport than basket ball. an i think us girls do a pretty good job of cheering too! afterwards we went to DQ....yummy!!

today i am finishing up some laundry and then i get to mow lawn for the rest of the day!!!! i love mowing.....  tonight us girls..as in me and my sista's and ma...are going out to eat with some of my aunts and cousins for a birthday party. it should be good!!

well, ya'll have a good rest of the week!!! PRAISE THE LORD FOR SUCH BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!!!
